How to Sell Avon Online – Make Money Selling Avon

How to Sell Avon Online - Make Money Selling Avon

Throughout my Avon career, I’ve received numerous emails and calls from Avon Representatives asking for help on how to sell Avon online. For this reason, I’ve created Makeup Marketing Online. Selling Avon online requires hard work, dedication, and continuous marketing. It also takes time…you cannot build a successful Avon business overnight online or traditionally. However, once you build a solid online Avon business, you will reap the rewards and see the benefits of having repeat loyal eCustomers. My mission with Makeup Marketing Online is to help Avon representatives learn how to sell Avon online, how to sell Avon successfully, and how to use social media to boost online Avon sales.

Avon Tips & Training for Representatives – Selling, Recruiting, and Leadership

Avon Tips for Representatives - Selling, Recruiting, and Leadership

Online sales take time but once they get going, they quickly compound! I know I say this a lot but look at my online Avon sales stats over time. My first blog posts were awful and as I kept blogging and marketing my Avon business, it became easier and my posts became more professional looking. I get most of my website visitors through the blog posts I’ve created. Once I create a blog post, I promote the link to the blog post through social media websites like Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and GooglePlus. You can create blog posts about Avon products, incentives, the opportunity to sell Avon, tips for Avon Representatives, your team newsletter, sales, promotional offers, industry news, and more. Use your blog to create a useful source of information for customers, potential new team members, current team members, and other Avon Representatives. Emily Seagren offers online virtual training classes for Representatives interested in learning more about selling Avon online and building a bigger and better Avon business.

Sell Avon – Become an Avon Representative Online

Sell Avon - Become an Avon Representative Online

Avon offers an incredible opportunity for men and women to build their own business for only a $15 investment! When you sell Avon, you can make money 3 different ways: 1) selling face-to-face, 2) selling Avon online, and 3) through leadership (building your own Avon team whether it’s face-to-face or online). I suggest to my team to take advantage of all three areas of the earnings opportunity. Each has its own advantages and in my opinion, you will make the most money as an Avon Representative when you focus on building all three areas of your business. When you become an Avon Representative, you can enjoy so many great benefits like: flexible hours, being your own boss, unlimited income, and multiple income streams.

    Hi Emily,
I saw the post you had for “how to post Avon campaign 26 brochure online” – does that apply to all the different books that are offered for each campaign? Or do each of those have to have their own codes? My online business is suffering and I would like to make it more virtual to be able to bring in more customers…. I’m hoping that you can help me learn??
If you can teach a web course or have some kind of printed material I can purchase on how to do these codes – I would be eternally greatful!
Thank you in advance for all your help!
    Rebecca

  4. Hi Rebecca! I plan on creating a new post every campaign on how to post the current Avon catalog online. Once you follow the instructions once, you really only need to go into the code and update the number in the image source link. For ex: you would replace the 25 in the following link to 26 when your website switches over to campaign 26. src=http://www.youravon.com/REPSuite/static/catalog/2014/25/en/images/p1.jpg

Right now I am offering all of the Avon training material on marketing online for free. If you subscribe to my blog by entering your email in the box on this page that says “Subscribe to Blog via Email,” you’ll get a copy of every blog post I create. Some posts are geared towards finding new Avon customers, some are for recruiting new team members, but many of them are training tips for my team and other Avon Reps. You should also subscribe to my YouTube channel so you are notified when I create a new video: http://www.youtube.com/avonrepemily Hope that helps! Emily Seagren

I am a new rep. When I try to follow the steps to post the Catalog to my website, I am having the following problems: I do not have a personal message in the text box, it is blank. I tried putting a personal message there, but then when I look at my Website, it shows my message, but no picture of the catalog. Also, when you state to paste the data in the html box, what is the html box? I really appreciate all your posts, they are so helpful. Hope to hear back soon. Thank you so much.

  6. dblunt1@sbcglobal.net says:

Hi Emily, I tried to link the brochure book to the Avon website. It work BUT now I have a problem. When you click on the brochure book it goes to your avon sight. Do you have a different link.

  7. Be sure to follow step 9 closely. This is the step that will tell you how to replace my account number with your own. Hope that helps! Here is the article: http://www.makeupmarketingonline.com/post-avon-campaign-3-brochure-online/

Hello Emily. Would you advise how you produce the campaign brochure videos?

I’m a new rep without an upline, so your site has been helpful.

    Thanks,
    Kathleen

I finally got my brochure up on my web office, aka Avon website. I see here were others are having problems and I want to say that Emily’s instructions are correct but if you are like me, I am new to this internet blog and posting. Just keep trying and it will eventually work. Thank you Emily for all your help!

    • Thanks for sharing! Glad you were able to get it to work. For others that are having trouble, make sure you watch the videos that go along with the posts to see the most up-to-date info. Pause and make changes as you watch the instructional videos. =) Hope you all have a prosperous year!

I have followed a couple of others and have purchased materials to help grow my on-line business etc. and honestly I find your information so much more helpful (mostly in that it’s easier to follow). Thank you so much for opening up so freely and willingly how you have achieved your success via On-line Marketing. I am so excited to get started with all your videos and information and finally get the success I have been waiting for. You are truly a gem Emily.

  11. Thank you so much Marjie! I’m glad you enjoy it and find it helpful. I wish you much success in your Avon business! Emily

  12. marjiegibson@tds.net says:

Thank you Emily. I’m getting through the (what I call courses) you have listed and doing what I can, taking it one step at a time. As I go through I may have to ask a dumb question here or there as I’m not overly tech savvy but but really want to grow my On-line Sales.

Interested to learn how to post on facebook page just created. Trouble I am having, need to establish facebook link on youravon site. Can not link Facebook page ,only personal Facebook site. How do I link my Avon Facebook “page” to share promotions ? Also how do you create ” like my page” link ? Sorry lots of questions and by the way am using MacBook
    Steve

    • Hi Steve! You can share to your Facebook page directly from the Avon Social Media Center or from any of the product pages on your Avon eStore. The share buttons include a cookie to take visitors directly to your personal Avon website, not the generic Avon.com website. Just go to your eStore as a customer would and pick which product you want to promote. You could also share images on your page and then just include a link to your eStore. The Facebook box I have on my blog is a widget I installed on WordPress. Hope that helps! Emily Seagren

  15. alia4cosmetics@gmail.com says:

Hi Emily! First let me say what an inspiration you are to upcoming AVON reps. Your posts and information are invaluable. I would like to create my own website. Can you give me information or pointers on choosing a good host? I don’t mind paying for a reputable, quality company.

    Thanks!
    Alia

    • Thanks Alia! I use Bluehost and am happy with the service. You may want to search on Google for “best website hosting services for small businesses” if you want to explore other options. Best wishes to you and much success! Emily Seagren

  16. tucson7050@gmail.com says:

Emily, my wife and I joined Avon a month ago online,no sponsor. We signed up under my name, not knowing this would Leed to my name on all the estore and marketing materials. I called IT today they said the name could not be changed since we established the account under my name.
Of course I want everything to show my wife’s name, so I am considering re-joining under her name. If we do this would like to join under a sponsor and be part of a team. Since my goal is to focus on online marketing I would like to be part of your team. The other problem I have been dealing with is I use an IMAC and everyone else seems to be using Microsoft PCs. The “how to” instructions you and others give me are different on Safari. Do you know anyone using a MAC ? Certainly I can not be the only one
    Steve Carroll

    • Hi Steve! I’d be happy to have you and your wife join my team. I have several reps that sign up with me that are interested in selling Avon online only and building a team online.

I have been working with one of my other newer reps who is also doing everything from a Mac. I do have a couple of contacts at corporate that I go to and notify of technical issues with the yourAvon.com website. My husband also has a Mac so I can try and help you troubleshoot any issues that way.

If you’re interested in signing up on my team, you can go to http://eseagren.avonrepresentative.com/opportunity/start or go to http://www.startavon.com and enter code: ESEAGREN. I hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have any others. Again, I’d be happy to have you as part of Avon Team Momentum! All my best! Emily Seagren

  17. mmarinogeorge@gmail.com says:

    Hi Emily,
I have tried to post the brochure on facebook but can only get so far. i do not have a PC I have a tablet and a Chromebook. I think that is the problem. I just get past the personal message part and can go no further. Any advice? I would really like to accomplish this as I think it would be a big help to my online business. Also do you have any idea why the ability to host an eparty is no longer available?

  18. vickiemoore07@gmail.com says:

HI Emily, First let me say you are truly an inspiration to me and many other Avon Representatives. I have learned so many tips from viewing your presentations. Is there a way to link the Avon Outlet Books to our personal Avon Website? I watched your video and learned how to link the current Campaign Brochures, but would also like to link the Avon Outlet and Mark Catalogs, if possible.

    Thanks.
    Vickie

  19. mnmayres@gmail.com says:

    Hello Emily,

I have to say I have been very pleased with all the help you are providing Avon Representatives around the country. I know you are helping so many with their on-line businesses. I’ve been reading and watching your tutorials for a few months now. I’d like to establish a web page and searched for sites that could help with this. I thought I heard you say you used wordpress for blogging? Then I just read that you use bluehost for your website? I first tried wordpress and didn’t have a ton of fun with that… then tried to google myself and nothing comes up? Not sure what I’m doing wrong with THAT. Should I try bluehost for my website and some how link over to wordpress to write a blog? Any additional info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Again… not sure what some of us would do without you sharing this information! Thanks so much!
    Ramona

    • Thanks Ramona! I’m glad you enjoy the training. I use WordPress as my blogging platform but it’s hosted on Bluehost. There were some features that I wanted to be able to add in that the free version of WordPress would not allow me to do. I know some of the other popular blog providers used by other Avon Reps are Blogger and Weebly. Hope that helps! Emily

  20. mnmayres@gmail.com says:

Wow… that was quick! As I am totally new to blogging and web-siting.. not completely illiterate in the computing world, but certainly not really savvy… I’d like to go with something that is user friendly. Preferably something that I can start out simple and build upon as I become more comfortable. Do you have any recommendations that might be along those lines? Have you self-taught doing all this? Thanks again!
    Ramona

    • Hi Ramona! I used to work at a technology company before Avon and learned many of my online marketing skills at that previous job. I also have a marketing degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. I would try doing a search for “Best Blog Hosts for Beginners” on Google and see what comes up. I know Blogger, Weebly, and WordPress come up a lot on this topic among other Avon Reps. Best of luck! Emily

  21. yourbeautyseller@gmail.com says:

    Hi Emily,
Thank you for all the help you share. I was attempting to add the brochure to my site following the steps you outline for someone who has never posted it before. I can get as far as 5 ( I think) and there is nothing in the box for me to copy. The box is empty. Any ideas?

  22. 73mags@gmail.com says:

How do I find my Facebook business page email address? I’m trying WordPress and it’s asking for my address.

  23. sistergail08@gmail.com says:

    Emily,
Thanks for all the videos. They are very helpful. I have been selling Avon for about 7years part time and basically on my own. I have a DSM, but don’t really get much response from her. I have a full time job and haven’t really been working my Avon much until recently and I am trying really hard now to grow it more. I would love to have this as a full time income in about a year, as I’m near retirement age. I am not in leadership but would like to be, so looking for any help I can get with this. I am also really wanting to promote my business through social media more. I am not super savvy in this but your videos are really helpful. Thanks again.
    Gail
p.s. I do have one question (many questions, but will stick to one right now, lol) Is there any way to invoice from your e-store, items that you sold from your stock, or do you have to write it out on the paper invoice pads? It seems like if I just do it like my orders that it would order from Avon when all I want to do is pull from my stock.

  24. tacylynn@yahoo.com says:

Emily I have learned a great deal from your blogs and your very informative videos. I greatly appreciate all of your knowledge you have taken the time to share.
    On my website
When I click on more… on my personal message on my avon personal website it says:
“The requested content cannot be loaded.
    Please try again later.”
I didn’t know if you could help me figure out what I was doing wrong or if you even had the time to look at it, but I would appreciate it very much.
    Thank you

    • It is an error with the Avon page. They are aware of the issue but I’m not sure if they plan on fixing it. I keep my content in the main window short so that the “Read more” option doesn’t appear. Hope that helps! Emily

  25. tacylynn@yahoo.com says:

Thank you for your quick response. I know you are very busy. I have gained a great amount of knowledge from your videos and blogs. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with Avon Independent Sales Representatives.
