How do you post the current Avon catalog on your website? This is probably the most frequent question I get asked from Avon Representatives on how to sell Avon online. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to post the Avon catalog on your website. Feel free to watch the video and then follow the steps below.

1. Log into yourAvon.com. Tip: When making changes to your Avon website, you may want to use Internet Explorer. YourAvon.com seems to be most compatible with Internet Explorer.

yourAvon Log On

2. Click on the Web Office tab on the main toolbar (now moved to the third tab from the left).

Avon Catalog Web Office

3. Under Personal Website, choose Edit Website.

4. Click on the pencil icon (top right) in the main box (largest frame on the top left).

Edit Avon Website

5. Click on the Add Link button in the toolbar. You will see a new toolbar pop open that has a drop down menu defaulting to Web Address. Use the drop down menu to choose Picture URL.

Avon Website Insert Image

6. Now you need to get the picture URL of the current catalog. In a new tab or new browser window, do a search for the Avon catalog you would like to post. For example: Avon Campaign 6 2014. Click on the top link. You are also welcome to use this website to find the current Avon catalog image URL. Right click on the main catalog image and select copy. This copies the URL where the image is saved. You can also use this URL: http://shop.avon.com/catalog/2014/06/en/images/p1.jpg and update the 2014 and 06 if needed to find the current Avon catalog.

Avon Catalog Image URL

7. Now you need to paste the image URL into your website editor in the box to the right of Picture URL. Click inside the box, delete the http:// that is already there, right click, and select paste. Now click OK.

8. The image should have appeared in the text box. Remember if you need to re-size the image to make it smaller, use one of the corner tabs so that the image remains proportional. If you use one of the other tabs on the top or side center, the image will become distorted.

9. To link the image to the online Avon catalogs for your customers to browse on your shopping site, select the image by clicking on it. Then choose the Add Link button but leave up the option for Web Address. Right click on the “Shop my Brochure” text on your Avon website and select copy shortcut. Then go back to the link toolbar, erase the http:// in the box, click in the text box, right click and paste. The link should look like this: http://shop.avon.com/default_rep.asp?code=&s=ShopBroch&c=repPWP&otc=&dept=catalog&setlang=1&repid=7468969. Your repid will of course be different than mine. Select OK and last but not least, hit the Save button.

  1. Hi Emily, thanks for the great idea. I post the catalogs a little differently than you do, but I’d like to try this as well. I’m a little confused as to #9, but as I review the info and try your instructions, maybe it will become clearer to me. I list the websites only. I have had trouble with “too much information” in that section, as it seems to cut off some info, saying “read more…”

Also, how do you add the counter on your site? I had it before, but didn’t think to try it this time.

As far as other ideas for your blog. I’d like to get a better understanding on “Using the Brochure to Gain More Sales”. Sometimes, with the number of brochures I order, I get great sales, other times, not so much. I would like to order more brochures, especially at the Holidays, Triple Dollar opportunities, etc., but sometimes, time is a battle to get them out (where to put, how many to leave), that sort of idea. Hope that makes sense. Feel free to ask me more information if you need to.
Thanks so much for your support!

    • Hi LuAnne,

Thanks for writing! If you go through the steps and don’t understand any of them, let me know and I can try to help.

If you go to my website (http://eseagren.avonrepresentative.com) and click on the brochure image, you’ll notice the link takes them directly to the e-brochures posted on my shopping site instead of the generic Avon URLs where the catalogs are stored. That way if they find something in the catalog when they are browsing, it will automatically add it to their shopping cart on my Avon website.

I also had trouble with the Read more link when Avon first updated the look of the website so I decided to keep my info short enough to fit in that window. The website with instructions on how to add the visitor counter for Avon reps is http://statcounter.com/avon/.

Thank you for the idea on the blog post! With the brochure being our most important sales tool, it is important to make the most of your Avon brochures. Hopefully I can get to this blog post soon. I will keep you posted.

      Happy Selling Avon Ladies!

      Emily

  2. I’m still stuck on #9 so maybe I’ll have to call you so I can get a better handle on this. I would like to be able to post the way you do on your blog. I think that’s really a great looking blog post, containing all the information needed.
I’m still having trouble with the stat counter too. I had it on my page, but for some reason, can’t seem to get the code when I go the that website you mentioned. When I go to the website it shows the old website, mentioning, “edit in html” so that’s why I’m not able to put it on my site.

    Thanks for your help!
    LuAnne
