Plan out your Strategy
  • Write down your current why. Why would this extra money mean so much to you? What would you and your family do with it? What are your tangible (new house, car, vacation) and intangible “whys?” (freedom of time, working from home,etc.)
  • Set your recruiting goal. How many new team members are you going to sign up each campaign? Tip: Go for an aggressive goal because not all of them will submit that $100 order and qualify.
  • Set your leadership goals. If you are an Ambassador or above…how many new leaders are you planning to add over the incentive period? Who are your aggressive team members who are either interested in leadership or top sellers who would make good leaders? Pick your key players who you are going to help advance in title (look for reps selling $150 – $200 or more in a campaign).
  • Understand the requirements and rewards of the incentive. Learn the requirements of the incentive but don’t get too caught up in the details if they overwhelm you. Spend as much time on recruiting / leadership activities as you do on sales activities. Do your best to talk to everyone you know about the Avon opportunity…you never know who might be interested.

You may use the district number and @avon.com for a quick way to cc their district manager. For example: my district is 5612. Everything probably still feels new to you, so I wanted to touch base and call out a few things that will be pretty important for you to know.

Here are a few basics that will help you get a feel for your new business environment:

· Place your Order!
Here’s your step-by-step guide to placing your orders:

· Avon Campaign Cycle!
With Avon , our ordering cycle is a two-week Campaign. That means you will have access to brand new products, special offers and sales EVERY TWO WEEKS! How fabulous is that?!

· Let’s Talk Timing!
To keep all of the Representative deliveries running smoothly, Avon is on a shipping system called the Representative Processing Schedule (RPS). You are on RPS (insert number) which means that you can submit an order every other (insert day of the week order is due) by midnight to qualify for the lowest possible shipping fees. I have attached a copy of your ordering schedule. Your first order for (insert first Avon campaign) is due (insert first Avon campaign due date).

Avon Tip to Remember: Our new brochures and business tools are ordered right along with your Customer orders, so skipping any Campaign will delay your receipt of the most up-to-date tools, demos and brochures.

· What’s the minimum?
In order to earn commission, your orders must total $50 each campaign. Our earning structure is based on a “The more you sell, the more you earn!” philosophy. Work it and give yourself a raise every two weeks!

Although the incentives are a nice bonus when I achieve the goal and receive rewards, moving up in title is now most important to me.

How?

Sales Leadership Representatives who exceed their “personal prospect” Qualified New Representative (QNR) goal by the greatest percentage at the close of the Incentive period will qualify to earn the trip.

  • Top 70 Ambassadors, Silver Ambassadors, and Gold Ambassadors will earn the trip. The top 71 – 150 Ambassadors will receive a $200 gift card.
  • Top 40 Leaders will earn the trip and the top 5 Leaders will also get to bring a guest.
  • Top 40 Silver Leaders and Gold Leaders will earn the trip and the top 5 will also get to bring a guest.
  • Top 10 Executive Leaders, Silver Executive Leaders, Gold Executive Leaders, and Platinum Executive Leaders will earn the trip. The Top Executive Leader at each title level will also get to bring a guest.

Personal Prospect: A personal prospect is a potential recruit that is not the result of any Avon Source such as Alma Leads. ALMA leads, even if assigned, delegated or reassigned, will not count towards the incentive.

Qualifying New Representative (“QNR”): Qualifying New Representatives are new Representatives who place a first order of $100 or more during the Incentive period and who pay for that order on time.

  • Reinstatements do not count as Qualifying New Representatives for this program.

How to be Successful in the Avon Grow to Win Getaway Incentive

Plan out your Strategy

    • Ambassador, Silver Ambassador & Gold Ambassador: 5 Qualified New Reps in 1st Generation
    • Leader: 10 Qualified New Reps in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Generation
    • Silver Leader & Gold Leader: 12 Qualified New Reps in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Generation
    • Executive Leader, Silver Executive Leader, Gold Executive Leader & Platinum Executive Leader: 15 Qualified New Reps in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Generation

  • Get on the Fast Track to success to earn up to $200 more every 2 weeks! Your fast track starts after your 2nd team member places their order during the incentive period (campaigns 20 – 26).
    • When you and your team reach total sales of $1,000 (max of $500 personal sales count), your personal sales are $200 or more, and you have 3 team members directly under you place an order all in the same campaign within the 1st – 4th campaign on your Fast Track, you will earn a $100 bonus check every campaign you meet the requirements (every 2 weeks)! For ex: if you reach the sales goal of $2000 and requirements with your team for the $150 bonus, you will not get the $100 bonus. So let’s say your team meets the requirements at this level all 9 campaigns, that means $1,350 in bonus money for you!
    • When you and your team reach total sales of $3,000 (max of $500 personal sales count), your personal sales are $200 or more, and you have 3 team members directly under you place an order all in the same campaign within the 1st – 13th campaign on your Fast Track, you will earn a $200 bonus check every campaign you meet the requirements (every 2 weeks)! Please note: you only receive one fast track bonus payout per campaign. New Avon Representative Tips and Information

This is the welcome email I send to new reps on my Avon team. I send them 3 emails within the first few days of signing up. I also try to find them on Facebook to connect personally and them add them to our Facebook group for our team. The more communication with new Avon Representatives, the better. It helps to try and communicate with your new team member by their preferred way of communication. Therefore, if your new Representative prefers text then text them, if he / she prefers phone conversations then call them, etc. Try different forms of communication with your team to get the most exposure.

Here’s another leadership tip: when you email your new team member, cc their district manager so he / she is aware you are in communication. To email the district manager / district assistant, the format is (district [email protected] – for ex: [email protected]).

Important Information for New Avon Representatives 

  • Avon Campaign Schedule – To find your campaign order due dates, log in to yourAvon.com – click on my account – Profile – See Calendar under Account Information next to your RPS Code. 
  • 2015 Avon Commission Chart – The percentage of commission you earn will depend on the total of all of the orders you turn in for each campaign. You can find the earnings chart on yourAvon.com – click on Earning Opportunities – Earnings Chart. You will earn a fixed 20% on any online orders.
  • How to Place your First Avon Order – If you would like to set up a time to talk over the phone and learn how to place your first order, let me know. I’m here and happy to help!
  • Avon Brochures – Your starter kit will come with 20 Avon catalogs (10 for each of your first two campaigns). For the following campaigns, you will need to order brochures. They come in packs of 10. To order and see the cost of brochures, go to Order Brochures – then Avon Brochure Pricing Info – in your order cart on yourAvon.com. You can also order brochures using product number 055745. Since they come in packs of 10, enter a quantity of 1 for a pack of 10, 2 for a pack of 20, etc. You are always ordering brochures two campaigns ahead. Ex: if you are placing an order in campaign 2 and enter product number 055745, you will receive campaign 4 catalogs. If you wanted to order campaign 3 catalogs, you would need to use the drop down menu in your order cart to select campaign 1 and enter product number 055745.
  • Avon Sales Tax – When a customer places an order with you, it is your responsibility to also collect sales tax. You can usually find your county’s sales tax rate on the county website or by looking for the percentage on the bottom of a receipt from a retail establishment. Avon also has a tax calculator worksheet on yourAvon.com – under my Account – Tax Information – Tax Calculator. All you need to do is plug in your tax rate.
  • How you get Paid when you Sell Avon – When a customer places an order from you, collect payment for the total amount of the items plus the order charge and sales tax. When you place your order, Avon will charge you for the cost of the products, the sales tax, and any business tools you purchase. Avon pays your sales tax for you with the money you turn in from customers. The amount left over from what your customers paid you and what you paid Avon is your profit. If you get online sales, you will receive the commission as a credit on your account. It will either take away from your balance you owe Avon or if you have no balance, it will accrue until it’s a credit of $25 or more. At that time, Avon will issue a direct deposit so make sure you set your account up for it on yourAvon.com – my Account – Direct Deposit. Please note that you must place a regular order on yourAvon.com before you start receiving the direct deposits from eSales.
  • New Avon Representative Programs – Avon has plenty of great programs in place to help you be successful in your first few campaigns as a new Representative.

  • Host an Avon Launch Party where friends, family, and potential customers can come over to browse the book, view your demo products, and see what’s new with Avon! Most people love Avon and just haven’t found the right representative. This could be you!
  • Have cash & carry items on hand. Some great products to have on hand are sunscreen, bug guard, hand creams, lip balms, and deodorants.
  • Make up gift baskets or bundles around holiday times. Try buying bundle deals from the Avon catalog and add in some cute decorations from your local party or dollar store. Pre-wrapped gifts are hot sellers especially close to Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and Christmas!
  • Use the Daily Care Collection flyer to get your foot in the door with new customers! This bundle contains some of Avon’s most popular brands like Skin So Soft, Moisture Therapy, Foot Works, and Advance Techniques. It is a $38 value that you can offer your customers for only $19.99. Remember this set is only available in your first campaign so be sure to make lots of copies of this flyer and show it to all of your relatives – everyone needs shampoo, hand cream, lotion, and body wash!
  • Do all you can to get your orders over $100 in the beginning! The extra cash, samples, and free products you can earn in the Hit $100 challenge can come in really handy in your first few months of selling Avon and will save you money on investing in your business in the beginning.

What: Avon Earn your Dream Ticket IncentiveAvon Earn your Dream Ticket Incentive

  • Level 1 Reward: Event fees covered for the “2015 Avon Making Dreams Come True” conference of your choice: August 30 – 31 or September 1 – 2, 2015
  • Level 2 Reward: Hotel stay for free for one night at the Rosen Shingle in Orlando, Florida during the event.

When: Achievement period is from Avon Campaign 10 2015 through Avon Campaign 13 2015. Your recruits will count in the campaign in which they submit their first order. The conference will take place either August 30 – 31 or September 1 – 2, 2015.

How: There are two levels to earn in this incentive. For specific rules, please see the incentive guide on yourAvon.com.

For Unit Leader Plus and Below:

  • Level 1 – Recruit 4 qualifying new representatives (a qualified new rep must place a first order of $100 or more during the incentive period and pay for it on time) to receive the level 1 reward.
  • Level 2 –  Recruit 6 qualifying new representatives (a qualified new rep must place a first order of $100 or more during the incentive period and pay for it on time) to receive the level 2 reward.

For Advanced Unit Leaders and Above: 

  • Level 1 – Recruit 3 first generation candidates (a qualified candidate is a representative who becomes a new leadership candidate for the first time during the incentive period by recruiting 1 or more new rep who places his or her first order during the incentive period and pays for it on time) to receive the level 1 reward.
  • Level 2 – Recruit 5 first generation candidates (a qualified candidate is a representative who becomes a new leadership candidate for the first time during the incentive period by recruiting 1 or more new rep who places his or her first order during the incentive period and pays for it on time) to receive the level 2 reward.

How to Achieve this Avon Incentive

1. Set your goal. Whichever level it is you want to reach, double the requirement to ensure you have enough qualified representatives / candidates. Then divide your goal by 4 to figure out your goal per campaign. For example: if your goal is to earn level 2 as a Unit Leader, you would want to recruit 12 representatives over the four campaigns. When you break that down per campaign, you want to average 3 new representatives per campaign. It doesn’t sound so bad when you break it down, right?

2. Determine your plan. Now that you’ve set your goal and decided which level you would like to achieve, it’s time to figure out how you’re going to accomplish this? To find new team members, which recruiting methods are you going to use? Maybe it’s time to make a new contact list. We are always meeting new people and you never know who might be interested in selling Avon. Go through your updated list and see who might be interested in earning extra money. Do you have a table event set up? Do a giveaway and collect contact information. Follow up with emails and phone calls to that contact list to see how you can service them by becoming their Avon representative or helping them start an Avon business of their own. Maybe you work a full-time job and prefer to include recruiting in your daily routine. Talk to 3 new people per day about Avon. Always have your business cards on hand and it never hurts to give away free samples.

3. Partner up with team members. If you are an Advanced Unit Leader or above, you are going to need to help your downline. Come up with ideas for step 2 but include your team members. If you haven’t already, have a conversation with each of your team members individually to see who is interested in leadership. Start by contacting those who are already selling close to $200 or more per campaign. They are already meeting the sales requirement for making Unit Leader which makes the requirements seem more attainable.

4. Give it all ya got! The last step is to have fun with it! If you haven’t learned by now, the harder you work on your Avon business…the more you are rewarded. Join networking groups on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. to learn from and even inspire other Avon reps. Your creativity will flourish when you start seeing what other Avon reps are doing to be successful.

Avon Leadership and Recruiting Quick Tips

  1. Use the power of 3 everyday in person and online. Connect with 3 new people and talk about your Avon business. You don’t have to come off as pushy or give a sales pitch when talking about Avon…just discuss your experience and why you love selling Avon. People will sense your excitement and want to become a part of your team.
  2. Offer 3 opportunities to every person you touch with your Avon business: 1) to buy from you face-to-face, 2) to sign up on your team, and 3) to buy from you online.
  3. Spend as much time as you do on selling activities on recruiting and leadership…you’ll be amazed how fast your team grows.
  4. Include your Avon Representative Reference code with instructions on how to sign up online on all of the materials you hand out including brochures.
  5. Recognize your team for sales, recruiting, and achieving incentives. A little bit of recognition goes a long way. Recognize your team through phone calls, emails, and on social media.
  6. Write blogs about the Avon opportunity. You never know what someone might be searching the Internet for and come across your article.
  7. Use the Avon incentives to get your team excited about growing their businesses.
  8. Provide your team members with tools and knowledge about how to recruit and build their team, don’t just tell them that they need to do it.
  9. Talk about the President’s Club and leadership often with your team. If you write a newsletter for your team, be sure to include information about the President’s Recognition Program and leadership each time. Work with your team members who are interested in leadership and those who are selling $200 or more per campaign.
  10. Come up with your own incentives for your team. I have an incentive for everyone who moves in title to Unit Leader…when they advance, I mail them out the “View from the Top” book.

How (So this all sounds great but how are you going to do it?):
Plan out your Strategy
  • Write down your current why. Why would this extra money mean so much to you? What would you and your family do with it?
  • Set your recruiting goal. How many new team members are you going to sign up each campaign? Tip: Go for an aggressive goal because not all of them will submit that $100 order and qualify.
  • Use the attached worksheets to track your bonus payout. There’s no greater reward than to see hard work paying off. Keep track of your accomplishments and successful appointments on the tracking sheets so you know just how much money you are going to earn.
  • Learn the requirements of the incentive but don’t get too caught up in the details if they overwhelm you. Spend as much time on recruiting activities as you do on sales activities. Do your best to talk to everyone you know about the Avon opportunity…you never know who might be interested.

  • Customize the attached book labels with your info. Especially if you are a little shy about bringing up the opportunity. This way you can offer the opportunity to everyone without having to push it on to those who aren’t interested. Sell Avon Recruiting Brochure Labels
  • Promote the opportunity on social media. Use an image of the opportunity to write a blog, share on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or any other social media site you are on. Remember to include a benefit of joining and the link to sign up on your team. Your link to the appointment page with your code pre-filled would be http://eseagren.avonrepresentative.com/opportunity/start (replace eseagren with your own reference code and be sure to use http:// and not www) So you might say, “Be your own boss with Avon. Start your own business for only $15! Learn more: http://eseagren.avonrepresentative.com/opportunity/start.”
  • Find featured posts and videos about the opportunity in your Social Media Center to share online. These posts have everything ready to go…your message, an image or video, and a link specific to you for people to sign up on your team. Go to www.youravon.com – web office – Social Media Center. Remember to offer the opportunity as much as you are offering the catalog. If you were a waitress at a restaurant, you wouldn’t stop asking if your customers wanted refills if you came across your first “no.” Keep offering the Avon opportunity, the bigger you build your team…the more likely you will find your gems.
